The Office of the Provost, the Registrar's Office, and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning work closely with the Faculty Curriculum Committee (for undergraduate curriculum) and the Committee on Graduate Education (for graduate curriculum) to evaluate each proposed change to the College curriculum. The College ensures that all programs and changes are rigorous, well-designed, and consistent with the College's overall mission.

Current Programs of Study and Degree Information

New programs (i.e., new majors, new graduate programs, etc.) and program modifications (i.e., the addition of an 18+ hour concentration, changing a concentration to a major, etc.) must be approved by CHE and SACSCOC. Please complete the steps outlined below for all new program and modification proposals.

New Undergraduate Programs and Program Modifications

  1. Submit a Notification Form (Deadline: October 6, 2017 for the 2018-2019 Academic Year): The first step in the approval process is notifying Academic Affairs and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning that you are planning to develop a new program or modify an existing program.  New programs and modifications to programs must be submitted to CHE and to SACSCOC by the end of December in order for the programs to be approved by CHE and SACSCOC in time to be offered beginning fall 2018.  If you have missed the Oct. 6, 2017 deadline, please contact Lynn Cherry (cherryl@ocfc.edu) in Academic Affairs.
  2. Submit a Full Proposal (Deadlines: Faculty Curriculum Committee Calendar): Full proposals will be due by the deadlines posted on the Faculty Curriculum Committee website. Remember that new programs and program modifications (as well as other curriculum changes) move through several campus committees and offices. The FCC's website provides detailed information about the process.
