Library Services for Faculty

The College of Charleston Libraries are here to assist you in your academic pursuits.  The library has over 600,000 books and provides access to 60,000 print and ejournals, 300,000 ebooks, 139,000 videos and DVD’s both physically and through our streaming services, and over 9.2 million books through PASCAL. Please explore the faculty services portal and don’t hesitate to “Ask Us” if you have questions. Additional services include:

  • Faculty Services
  • Proxy card service – which allows your graduate assistant to check out materials and perform other library functions on your behalf.
  • Firm orders – explains the process for ordering library materials that you may need so that they are added to our collection.
  • Campus Delivery – explains the process for having library and interlibrary loan materials delivered to your departmental mail box.
  • iPad program – provides up to 30 iPads for your students to check out for 3 weeks to work on a special project.
  • KIC scanners – fast scanners that allow you and your students to scan to multiple storage mediums such as USB drive, email, Google Drive and One Drive in multiple formats including pdf, searchable pdf, jpeg, and mp3.
  • Faculty Resource room – room 338 in the library is dedicated for use by faculty as a place to meet, research, write, study and is equipped with a Scantron, computer, and printer.
  • One Button Studio – enables students to practice and record presentations and video projects but inserting a USB drive and pressing 1 button.
  • OER resource guide/program – help provide your students with learning materials at little or no cost.
  • Information Literacy modules – licensed content from Credo Education provide supplemental instruction in the area of information literacy.
  • Academic Integrity guide – a collection of resources to help guide students to behave ethically while conducting their academic pursuits.
